How to install Quicken 2016 to New Computer

I purchased a new computer, and moved my original Quicken 2016 installation file to it. Ran the installer, no problem. Tried to open an existing file, which required a user name and password (I had not assigned it one), entered my Quicken name and PW, and received the message "An Unknown Error Occurred. Please try to Connect Later". Not sure if my password was correct as I haven't needed it in many years, I attempted to log into the Quicken website, which prompted me to create a password, which I did, and received a verification email. So I closed Quicken and tried it again. No dice. So how do I use my Quicken on my new computer? Can someone help me? Thanks.

I'm having the same problem trying to install Q2016 on a temporary laptop for an extended RV trip. Please post is you have had any luck.

Install the Quicken 2016 R19.5 Mondo patch. Copy the QUICKEN.INI file from C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Quicken\Config from the old computer to the laptop and then try Quicken.
