Is there a way to sort the Num list?

I have various entries in the Num list to indicate type of transaction. When going to edit/add an entry to the Num list the entries appear in alphabetical order. However when I click on the down arrow in the Check # field, the list appears in random order. Perhaps in the order they were entered. Is there a way to get the dropdown to appear in alphabetical order?

    Hi @Hersh

Not sure what you mean by "Num list". Are you talking about the "Check #" column in an account register? If not, can you give us some more details about where you are in Quicken?

Yes, the Check # column. If you try to edit the list the title on the window that appears is "Edit Num List".

Perhaps these screen shots will explain the difference between how the the list is displayed in two different ways.

So I did a little test. As you edit the list to add new possibilities, they do go in and show there aphaumerically.

But then when shown in the list to actually select from, the user created options get shown after the standard options (after the EFT) and they are listed by order created..

It's just odd other than deleting and recreating the list, there is no other way to re-order them. (Note that deleting the entry from the list has no impanct on items already in the transactoin Num fields.)

Thank you for the response. It is just one of those annoying quirks. Would be more convenient to have them appear in alphabetical order.
