Can I create a file with only the current year's data from my bank?

I can't seem to figure out how to create a file with only this year's data. I don't want to have to go back and reconcile the past couple years in order to have this year's information. How can I do that? It's driving me crazy. 😂

It's possible that if you dig around on your bank's web site that they'll let you download a Quicken file for a custom date range & you could use that to only get transactions starting January 1st & create a new file from that. But it's more likely that you'll just have to create a new file, connect it to your bank, get everything that they give you (which will probably be 90 days or more) and delete the transactions prior to January 1st.

Either way you'll have to look up the account balance on December 31st and set that as the opening account balance.
