My selected asset class keeps changing to Asset Mixture

Every time I update my accounts, my single selected asset class keeps changing to Asset Mixture. I need to see my Asset classes in the portfolio window. I see this has been a problem since 2021…is there a workaround now that it is 2023? How do I stop my selected asset classes from going back to asset mixture each time I update my accounts?

For securities where you have selected an asset allocation, go to the Security Detail page and click on Edit details. Make sure the Download asset class information box is un-checked.

You may find that the report at Reports > Investing > Investment asset allocation is a better way to view your asset allocation.

The Download asset class information box is unchecked but still changes back to Asset Mixture upon direct connect transaction download. I need to see asset classes in the portfolio window. (report window has limited use for me)

    Interesting.

Does the Download asset class box get re-checked after you download transactions?

Does the asset class selection on the Security Detail page change after downloading?

For the problem securities, have you selected a single standard asset class, a custom asset class that you have defined, or a mixture?

It seems that Quicken's implementation of custom asset classes leaves a lot to be desired.

I don't find the asset class information on the Portfolio views very useful, because most mutual funds adn ETFs will get lumped into the Asset Mixture group.
