creation of sub category problem

Question

Many times I have created and modified categories and sub categories. To day when I try to create a sub category the box that opens to select the parent only shows 5 choices, non of which are the ones I want. I've not seen this issue before. Anyone know how to fix this?

I solved it. Use Tools>CategoryList. Look for an odd-ball category with no uses. I had to click on "Category" to sort and there the strange one once. I deleted it and then the "Sub-Category" additon worked.

I have the same issue. It seems that only income catagories show up to make a subcatagory to. I had this once before and somehow it magically began to work.

Never mind. I closed the program and reopened it and now it is working as it should. Another Quicken glitch!
