Sign On - to Forum AND Support (edit)

I sign on to my Quicken account using URL: https://signin.quicken.com/users?response_type=code&client_id=quicken_estore&redirect_uri=https://www.quicken.com/qam-callback

This takes me to the signon screen.

Then I hover my mouse over 'Support' then Ctrl+Click Community (because I like to open it into another tab). And the screen wants me to sign in again?

Why? Doesn't it know who I am at this time?

Thank you.

Logging into quicken.com is different than logging into the support forums. I'm pretty much always logged into the forums but I still. have to log into quicken.com if I need to go there for some reason.

Could this be a browser setting which prevents the saving of cookies?

I don't think so, it doesn't have any trouble remembering I'm logged into the forum. I think it's just a different login; the forum login is probably specific to Vanilla.

If that's the case, then why does the Quicken website even have a link to support if they don't have a direct connection? I can't recall ANY of my other vendors who have support sites that require a second logon. Fortunately, I own one of those password vault programs where it stores my passwords in an encrypted file. So, logging on only requires 3 clicks. It's just a nuisance.

The Quicken ID in Quicken for Windows or Mac,
    the Quicken Community ID and
the logon to your account at quicken.com
all come from separate sources, but all refer to the same ID and password at quicken.com

When accessing the Quicken Community, go directly to a bookmarked URL, e.g., https://community.quicken.com/discussions and, if your browser is allowed to remember IDs, passwords and cookies, you shouldn't even need to logon to the Quicken ID every day.

Thank you for your comment. I NEVER allow my browser to store ID/passwords. It's to hackable. I use a 3rd party password manager. In my case, I've been using Password Safe for years. It stores everything in an encrypted file. It also provides the option to 'generate' a secure password. And it also allows scripts. That's especially useful now since a lot of sites have you enter the ID on a window then take you to another window to enter your password.
