Can I make a new category of account-types?

Can I create sub-categories for sorting accounts in the left naviation bar? (I would like to move under-utelized accounts to a different section.)

    No, accounts cannot be categoried. You can move accounts around within the section (account type) or make them "separate". You can also hide accounts if you don't want to see them. They will then show up in "more accounts" within the section (maybe that is what you are looking for?). You cannot create any new "sections" in the account bar however.
