I am runnint Quicken Deluxe for Windows, R48.15. The application just randomly terminates without warning. It seems to terminate after sitting idle for some time. It always restarts and works fine. It is just annoying that it terminates without warning or providing any explanation for termination.

Since it's not happening to everyone else, you should assume it's a PC problem. Of all issues that cause crashes, display drivers are one of the most frequent causes. Visit your computer manufacturer's website and look for the support page. Once there, many mainline manufacturers have a tool to detect your model and serial number. Once that's done, you should be provided a list of available updates (not Windows updates, but those specific to your PC hardware). Install all the updates they offer.

Failing computer memory can also cause issues like this. It's a little harder to troubleshoot, so try the updates first. Last but not least, failing SSD storage can cause weird issues. Be sure to back up your data regularly in case that's the issue.

You might be able to get some clues by looking at your Windows Event Logs. Just tap the Windows key and type "event" and you will see the Event Viewer. Things are a little cryptic, but with some searching online you should be able to navigate around and look for clues. Everything has a time stamp, so take note of the exact time that it crashes to help narrow down your research.

What does your computer do during that idle time?
Does it go to sleep, hibernate, power down, install Windows Updates and reboot?
