how can you setup a certain investment (TIMXX) to be treated as cash.
After I input cash, Wealthfront buys a temporary position in Timxx then within days sells it and invests the proceeds into a fund. how can I get Quicken to treat the in and out of Timxx as if it was cash?

My bias is to minimize the automatic processing by QUicken. As such, my suggestion is to simply delete the downloaded Buys and Sells of TIMXX and the remaining cash amount in the brokerage account will be treated as cash. Almost all the time, that brokerage cash reported by Quicken will match what the brokerage shows for TIMXX, but ther could be short periods where the brokerage shows value in both cash and TIMXX. Going that route may lead to regular warnings that your brokerage shares do not match Quicken's shares, but you should know (and check) that they do agree.
Also, you can continue the enter Quicken Div transactions associated with TIMXX even though you own no 'shares' of TIMXX in Quicken.

There's a new setting which might (or not) help in this situation: Edit / Preferences / Downloaded transactions
I can't find any documentation on it so I can't say if that'll be helpful or not. How about giving it a try?

Is there any type of update on this issue. I'm dealing with the same problem. Quicken automatically placed my new Wealthfront Cash account as an Investment. Wealthfront Cash states on their website this should be treated as a 'CHECKING' account. BTW- I also confirmed the Preference of 'Never interpret downloaded Money Market funds as cash' has never been checked.
Looking forward to any feedback to help resolve.
