why does quicken assume rmd's start at age 70

    Quicken (and its Help) needs to be updated. Go to this help page and vote Dislike. Then you can type in the suggestion that they update it.

    Quicken user since version 2 for DOS, as of 2025 using QWin Premier (US) on Win10 Pro & Win11 Pro on 2 PCs.
