This started six months ago. I have two credit cards. The payments are going to the right bank but when I do an update, they now all come up on the register as going to one bank.

Recommend you use distinct Payee Names for each transfer / credit card payment to avoid confusing
Quicken - memorized payee list entries.
Or, since they are recurring events, set up Monthly Scheduled Reminders, again using distinct Payee Names, to make your credit card payments. Set up these reminders as transfers from your checking account to the respective credit card account. Record these reminders when you receive the credit card statement.
When you download transactions from the banks and card companies, the payment transactions already exist in your respective registers and Quicken will match the downloaded transactions to what's already in the register.

And what might that solution have been? Curious people would like to know …

Go to tools, memorized payees, edit. Remove bank name from credit card. Problem with that is now the register will just list as "credit card payment" only. No bank name.
