PLEASE add the planning tab for Quicken Mac! I'm tired of using Excel for planning before working Quicken on my Mac.

I am also looking forward to QM having these retirement planning tools ported over from the windows version that I used for years before switching gto Mac

Hello. Can we get an update from Quicken on the status of this feature?

The status is always the same, Quicken Inc doesn’t give ETAs, so for the “status “ look at the first page of an idea. For this idea, that is:

This request has been accepted by the Development team for future implementation. However, Quicken's product development teams do not provide an estimate of when new/enhanced features will be completed and released.

When does Quicken for Mac plan to add the retirement planner feature?

@watooey The answer, such as it is, was in the post directly above yours: "Quicken's product development teams do not provide an estimate of when new/enhanced features will be completed and released." All we know is that this is definitely on their product roadmap, but whether it's coming in a month or 6 months or two years isn't something anyone here can answer, and the only people who know what's on their schedule will never share their plans. (That's mainly because priorities can change or there can be unexpected delays due to anything from complexity in building/integrating the code to personnel changes which affect who is working on which projects — details we users are never privy to.)

Yes, but how do we know it wasn't removed from the roadmap? Can we get a re-verification that this capability is still accepted and on the roadmap?

Can we get an update on the status of whether this feature will be added to Quicken Mac? The move to Planned was nearly 2 years ago. Is it still planned? Thank you.

I too used to use the Planning feature of Quicken, both on Windows and the earliest versions of Mac. Have not needed it, but recently I started helping a friend who needs it in a big way.

Glad to see this has been accepted by the development team, I only hope they are quick about it. This will stop me from recommending Quicken to my friend when I finish setting her up. I gave up Windows when I retired so there is no going to QW for this, sorry Quicken, it is not worth the expense. With so many more options then there were back in 1995, when I started using it, I will have to investigate an option that will work better for my friend. Please add some bonus incentives to those developing the planning tab and let us know soon that you have it!

I hate to say it, but if your recommendation to your friend depends on this feature, then you should plan on trying to find a different solution that works for them.

Here is the reality. Quicken Inc doesn't give out any kind ETAs. I believe that is because the belief is that they are weighing the "dissatisfaction" of not knowing when something is going to be done against the "dissatisfaction" of stating a prediction that can't be met for one reason or another.

The Quicken Mac development group is relatively small and has many requests. Even lots in the "planned" state.

Could this feature show up tomorrow? Yes, but the likelihood is low.

This remains a significant gap between the two.

After two decades, I'm planning on cancelling my Quicken if it cannot provide "retirement planning" on the Mac.
