Can't enter a New Transaction - no blank transaction line
I am using quicken deluxe windows. When I hit the plus sign to enter a new transaction, it often opens in a recently entered transaction. The only way to get a new line to open is to re save the old line, which then makes a duplicate entry. I then need to delete that entry.
I have validated and super validated from a prior bug that continues to auto reconciles even though it is unchecked.

why not just go to the bottom of the Register (in sorted date order) and enter the new transaction there

It does not let me do this. There is not a new blank line to enter a transaction.

This should not be possible. I think you'll need to contact Quicken Support and let them see your screen to diagnose this.
Quicken user since version 2 for DOS, now using QWin Premier (US) on Win10 Pro.

click in any transaction Memo field ..
then click on the “+”
