I have a Fidelity Net Benefits 401(K). When I add a Fidelity Investment account, the value of my 401(K) increases by over 3.6 million USD. It is a repeatable problem.

Check the number of shares and price history. Maybe a price got entered wrong. Or a decimal got dropped.
I'm staying on Quicken 2013 Premier for Windows.

Final solution: 1) Export .QFX file, 2) create new Quicken file, 3) import the previously exported .QFX file, 4) re-setup all accounts, and 5) add the new account. Huge pain, lots of lost time. The new Quicken file was ~30% smaller. It appears that the old Quicken file contained lots of garbage that was removed by the export (Validate and Repair was useless at validating and repairing).0
