Extra mortgage principal calculating wrong (Q Mac)

I've set up my mortgage in Quicken and it was calculating correctly for a while. I changed the amount of extra principal we are paying and now the calculations are all [mess]ed up. It seems to be going back and assuming that I made the same extra principal payment from the beginning and there is now a message that says Quicken calculates that the mortgage is paid off. I have deleted the account and recreated it with the current balance but when I set up the payment schedule with extra principal I get the same error message.

Is the mortgage account connected to the mortgage co. for downloading?

Can you show us how you defined the extra principal amount in the mortgage setup?

The mortgage is not connected online. In the dialog box for editing loan and payment terms I added the amount of extra payment in the box that says “Extra Principal.”
