Quicken for Mac Not handling Attachments - Critical Data Failure - All data lost

After 4+ support calls and hours recovering my Quicken file of over 4gb, I stopped using attachments on transactions. PDF attachments have worked for a while but after recent updates Quicken may corrupt the data file on save. There are no error messages. The file suddenly starts saving at less than 100MB on a 4GB and won't open afterwards. Also the auto backup keeps saving the file with the smaller size. All my previous PDF that are attached are fine. I've done lots of testing and most PDFs attached are fine, but any single PDF file could corrupt your Quicken data file regardless of Quicken data file size.
