Opening the Calender crashes Quicken

Here is what happens:

  1. Open Quicken
  2. Open Calender
  3. Quicken stops responding and I use Windows Task Manager to end the program.
  4. Re-open Quicken.
  5. Use File + Validate
  6. Open Calendar, all works fine.
  7. Close Quicken.
  8. Open Quicken, Open Calendar, again Quicken stops responding. I have to end the program and use File + Validate again.

Super Validate does not solve the problem.

as a suggestion - I did this awhile back and it helped anchor Quicken prior to opening the Calendar

what version are you running ….. Help —> About Quicken

    1 - open Quicken
2 - open ANY account Register
    3 - then open Calendar

This has been happening to me A LOT more frequently lately, but it has been an issue for literally years. Like the OP I validate the file, super-validate the file, things are ok for a bit and then it starts happening again. There are no error codes or messages, the application just hangs and you have to forcibly close it to continue. I am on the latest version (R50.8). I am always on the latest version because I naively believe one of these days I am going to get a version that doesn't constantly crash so I update whenever notified. The suggestion to open a register before opening the calendar sometimes seems to help, but not always, so, in short, it does not help. Very frustrating.
