Within the same Quicken data file … Yes, you can copy or move selected transactions from one banking account register to another.
This works best if the transactions are not marked reconciled.
And do be sure to have or create a backup of your data file before you make this change.
Block select transactions in the "from" account register.
Right-click one of the now highlighted transactions. Select "Move transactions" or "Copy transactions" from the popup.
Select the "To" account register from another popup.
Done.If you're asking about investment account registers, a different procedure applies to transfer securities between accounts.

you might explain what or why you are needing to copy (as in move) transactions between accounts ?

i guess i should add more context. i was previously downloading my transactions automatically, but for whatever reason, quicken decided to no longer support that bank. i discovered that by creating a manual account, i can designate a currency, which would be a nice feature, so i wanted to copy all of my transaction from the previous account (set up online) to the new one (manual). there is only about a year of data there since this is an account that is only used for certain things, but it would be nice to have it tracked in the foreign currency rather than dollars.0

what bank ?

Are you located outside of US ?0 -
the bank is santander mexico. it worked for a year or so, then didn't. quicken couldn't give an answer as to when it would be working again. this account is in pesos, not dollars. i didn't have the option to select pesos when setting the account up online. i'm located in mexico, but most of my financial accounts are still US based.0

Well - looks like you have lots of moving parts - so not really sure what your Quicken needs to handle -
Here is the info for - Santander - but you didn't mention the exact name you selected for the Quicken Account.
When you log into the online bank website - what is the website URL address ?
And…. adding to the ongoing discovery of questions - being in MX and wanting Pesos, etc -13159 13159 13159 Santander Bank

that is the connection that previously worked, and mysteriously stopped around the end of march, but after 3 hours on the phone with quicken, they decided it was something they would need to work on with no expected completion date. i've posed the question to the forum to see if anyone else was experiencing the same connection problem and never heard anything, but i can't believe only my connection was failing. i'm open to any suggestions.0
