PNC checking download all screwed up

Options
  1. Quicken says I have a transaction to review, but I do not. The red flag will not go away. But Quicken will not let me deactivate the download connection or (as a last resort) close and delete the account in order to recreate it, as long as it says I have an unviewed transaction.
  2. This is on top of a small but annoying bug that has gone on for over a year. The account balance shown in the Accounts column on the left of the screen is CONSISTENTLY lower than the actual balance (both in the Quicken register and on my bank web page) by $1655!

How can I disentangle Quicken from my PNC account in order to repair it?

Try disabling the preference to Automatically Add Downloaded Transactions to Banking Registers.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I already only download manually.

Thanks, but that is what screwed things up in the first place.

Toggling the setting on and off or vice versa is known to resolve the issue you are reporting.
