New release won't let me sign in.

I updated to the latest release of Quicken for Windows via the download link.

Since then, when I launch Quicken, the program requests my Quicken ID and password. It then either hangs forever, told me "SUCCESS" then froze on that screen, then when I forced closed the program and relaunched it, it required that I change my password, which I did. Now the program tells me that it is an invalid credential even though I used the Quicken ID and NEW password to access this support website with no issue.

What the heck is going on?
