Mis-identifying transactions...all the time
Quicken leaves a lot to be desired when identifying downloaded transactions. I spend a lot of time matching up or correcting the accounts Quicken detects erroneously on the downloads.
Also, I just spent a half-hour on the phone with USAA because one of my USAA accounts showed a $59.88 transaction on 26 June that was only identified as "Paypal Transaction." My Paypal account didn't show any such transaction and Paypal's CSR said there were no matching transactions visible to them either. I had to file a dispute with USAA. Only a day or two ago was I advised by Quicken that their automatic renewal in the amount of $59.88 failed. All this mess could have been avoided if they'd have identified themselves when trying to renew.

Hello @sornord sornord,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community and telling us about this issue. I'm sorry to hear you're running into this problem. Could you please provide more detail on what exactly is being incorrectly detected (for example, is it just not correctly matching manual transactions to their downloaded counterparts, or is it mislabeling downloaded transactions, or is something else happening)?
For the second issue you mentioned, could you provide more information please? Do you pay for your Quicken subscription through PayPal? Was it showing up as "Paypal transaction" in Quicken, on USAA's website, or both?
Thank you.
Quicken Kristina

I have to deal with this issue just about every time I enter transactions downloaded from my bank.
Been using Quicken (and TurboTax) since DOS days in 1990s. Now using Quicken subscription on Windows.
