Quicken Startup Process
Is there a way to Start Quicken when the Internet is down for an extended period?..
I just want to enter manual transactions. Our internet was down all day Yesterday.
I'm not a beginner, I've been using quicken for over 20 years. My subscription is active and quicken just try's and try's and try's and will not startup without the internet.
Is there a secret key combination to Start Quicken without an active internet connection?

You cannot start Quicken when there is no Internet connection? That would be odd. I turned off my Internet connection and then started Quicken. Quicken opened quickly and was usable on a manual basis. What are you experiencing when you start Quicken and don't have an Internet connection?

AFAIK, you'd have to completely disconnect your Ethernet cable AND disable WiFi for this process to work.
If Quicken recognizes the router, it'll try to connect and call home. But, without the Internet it then hangs for a while …0 -
I have no ethernet cable connection. I only use WiFi. Turn off the WiFi and there is no router connection available for Quicken to try to use or recognize. And when I am away from home I typically will not tap into any public WiFi so my computer is "in the dark" regarding an Internet connection. In these situations, Quicken still starts very quickly for me.

In my case, a white screen is displayed w/Quicken logo at the top. It just hangs there, Just stuck. I just close the screen and move on to something else. When Internet is active, Quicken loads very fast. no issues at all.
It is so much easier to enter my transactions manually, therefore I don't have to deal with all the download issues and problems others users seem to have.

What happens if you disable your internet adapter or, if using a laptop, switch to airplane mode? Also, what release of Quicken are you using?
Quicken user since Q1999. Currently using QW2017.
