Updating Quicken when program starts

Hello - this is more of an annoyance-feedback:

WHY?… is it necessary to click "Start Quicken" right after the automatic update on program start?

Can this please be skipped? If you automatically update anyway, what reason is there to NOT continue to the program?

I concur totally.

also, I just started quicken & it wanted to update/install some file with msedge in the title, I didn't note the exact filename but exit & restarted & it came up. I don't even use edge, & frankly, this business if updating everytime it starts is a [Removed - Language].
