Watch Out When Moving Investment Transactions

I accidentally entered a dividend reinvestment into the wrong account. Normally, I would delete and re-enter, but I was in a hurry and noticed that right-clicking on the transaction showed a "Move Transaction" option (I use this frequently when I enter a transaction in the wrong credit card account). I selected the transaction and clicked the Move button. What I missed was that "Select all transactions for the same security as a group" was checked as the default - six years of transactions were moved. I had just reconciled the last monthly statement and was going to do a backup next (:-).

This is documented and I should take time to read more carefully, but I am posting this as a cautionary tale.
