Payees and categories
Is there a way I can make my each of my memorized payees automatically populate with the same category everytime (like all Walmart transactions to have the Groceries category)? How can I retroactively populate these same payees with the categories that I want for each? Otherwise, I have to go back to each individual prior transaction to change it to the category I want.

Please be sure to have all future Walmart transactions categorized properly as they are created.
Memorize a good Walmart transaction. Go into the Memorized Payee List, edit this Walmart entry and mark it "locked" to prevent unwanted changes. If there are additional Walmart entries in the MPL, delete any unwanted ones.
When accepting downloaded transactions, make sure the correct MPL entry is chosen before you accept the transaction.0

You can do a find and replace to change the prior ones.
I'm staying on Quicken 2013 Premier for Windows.
