I have had Quicken since 1997. How do I reduce the data of my Quicken file?

I need to reduce the data in my Quicken file.  Can I archive data?  What are my options?

* What version of Quicken are you running currently?
* How big is your data file? In MB, look at the file in the Finder. In Quicken, click All Transactions in the left sidebar and see how many transactions ("items", on the right side, under the Search box) there are.
* You say you "need to reduce the data" in your file. What problem(s) are you trying to solve? Speed? Getting rid of old categories/securities/payees/accounts? The more you can explain what issue you're trying to fix, the better we might be able to provide you advice.
