How to force treasury bond adjustment in portfolio

In Quicken for Mac, I know that treasury bonds that mature need to be manually entered. When I enter the sell bond transaction manually and select the appropriate bond in the investment list it allows the transaction to be entered, but the numbers of shares remains the same in portfolio and my balance is over-stated. What is I doing wrong?
