My quicken suddenly stopped working 3 weeks ago; it would not load my data file. It was a panic. I spent an hour talking with Quicken support; no help. At the end of the conversation the standard refrain - "we can't help you, it is a Microsoft problem". I was on my own, panic stricken. I experimented and moved my data file to the C drive where my Quicken is located versus on the D drive which is my solid state internal added drive. RELIEF!! It started working.

My million dollar question - when everything was working fine for a couple of years from drive D, why did it suddenly stop working?!

Have you error checked your internal SSD D: - drive? Just like standard hard drives, SSD drives can fail …

My guess would be you only moved the data file and not the associated log files, so the log files were recreated with only new info. Possibly some issue with the prior log files was causing the issue.
