Ongoing file corruption
I am having a problem with file corruption.
I enter data into quicken, and often the next day, it tells me the file is corrupt - or, in some cases, I open it and the data I entered simply isn't there. Or even worse, the new data is there in the accounts I entered, but in other accounts, the last entry is 2017 (when data had been there for 2023).
I can go to the latest backup and reenter, but more often than not, that file also becomes corrupt.
I tried to export data and start fresh, but when I try to import the data, it says I have "too many categories (over 600)", and stops.
I know I'm on an old, antique version of Quicken for Mac (16.2.4), but my OS is old, too, and it's been compatible for years and years, which is why I keep it running.
But this ongoing file distortion is new.
Can anyone help?
