My bank was bought the new bank Have transactions ONLY from the buy out day- how do I merge

Another bank bought my bank, and my transactions in the new bank only appear from the day of the buyout. I now have the old account with transactions until the buyout and a new one with transactions from the buyout until today. How do I merge them?

Can I copy the transactions from the old to the new? The balance seems all messed up,
