Recent update froze during installation and now there's a problem with qw.rmd
Yes, I looked at all of the other suggestions.
No, the system isn't allowing me to delete the file because it thinks that it's open.
Yes the permissions are set to give my account permission to delete the file.

Same freezehere , did not notice the qw.rmd file issue, was able to kill MSI cleanup that hangs during every Quicken install for over 6 months.
Quicken closed the existing report that MSI Cleanup hangs during install without company comment and without fixing anything. Who thought that was OK?

This file is used by a background task, bagent.exe, which is used to perform your nightly Scheduled One Step Update.
Locate this task in Windows Task Manager and "End Task" it.
If you need to, you can now delete the QW.RMD file. It will be recreated next time you start Quicken.@Larry4 ,
your hang during software updates seems to be a totally different can of worms. So far, I haven't seen or heard of a solution or a good description of what's causing it.0
