I have been unable to update my PNC direct connect accounts yesterday and today. I also got the -1001 code. Unable to connect to server. After 2 hours on the phone today with PNC and then Quicken and then PNC, it is clear that this is a OFX problem and it's PNC's server that is not allowing Quicken to connect. PNC has opened a trouble ticket and is investigating. Quicken tech support was excellent but unable to help because it is a PNC-side problem.
I am surprised there aren't more reports here about the problem.
PNC said it may take a couple of days to get it fixed.
