Quicken on new computer won't let me add/edit transactions.

I have been using quicken premier for a while on my laptop. Now I want to switch my work station to a desktop. I used quicken backup and restored the file on my desktop. But now quicken won't allow me to click on anything, I cannot add new transactions, nor can I click on any existing transaction. Moreover, even the account list on the left side of the screen is invisible. Please suggest a solution.
