Dozens of old entries modified on last "Update Now"

I've used Quicken for 20 years. Everything was chugging along and I did my normal "Update Now" to my accounts. When I reconcile, it says I am 15K$ off from my bank. A one year old $4K payment to the credit card is duplicated, cleared and reconciled. A large transfer to savings from 8 months ago is now unregistered. A duplicate charge for hotel stay 8 months ago is in the Quicken register. I have dozens more like this. I still can't find $8K that doesn't reconcile. Any ideas on what [Removed - Profanity] happened!?

Did you recently change download types, Say from Direct Connect to Express Web Connect? That cab cause your bank to send old/duplicate txn.

I'd suggest that you restore from a recent backup and try downloading again.

Nothing has changed recently. I'm not sure what backups are kept around by the software. I'll take a look.

It did it to me too. Entered multiple duplicates. How I figured out the ones that are bad when I clicked on an entry it would say that account is no longer available. I deleted the entry. I wasted about 30 hours trying to fix everything. Even when I went to back up some of they would still end up doubled. What a mess.
