Cannot download investment account transactions?

For the last week when I do One Step Update I get the error message "An error has occurred" next to all of my investment accounts. All of my credit card accounts download as normal. I am on the latest version of Quicken for Windows. Anyone have a way I can fix this?

I just resolved my issues. I restarted my computer and Quicken and my full One Step Update processed including my investment accounts.

Good to hear you got it fixed. Sometimes the old tried-and-true reboot-the-computer is the best solution, especially when the computer has not been shut down in a long time.

If would be helpful if you would provide the name of the investment company, the type of investment account(s) and whether or not you received an error code and what that code is.

  • This happens with all of my investment accounts - Fidelity, Fidelity Net Benefits, Vanguard, and Lincoln National. The accounts include brokerage accounts, 401(k), IRA, 403(b) and HSA. The message next to each account name is "An error has occurred" on the One Step Update screen. Then One Step Update closes without the normal completion status screen. There is not a error code number.

    Thanks Boatnmaniac.
