Capital Gains report with CAD$ transaction exchange rate clicked does not update
When I run the cap gains saved report with CAD$ transaction exchange checkbox clicked to get the actual gain in cad$ for US stocks using the exchange rate on date of transaction, the report pops up immediately. There is no 'calculation'. Is it because it is a saved report? The values are not correct. It seems to ignore the checkbox entirely. Even it is not cad$ even though currency shows as cad on the pull down. When I go to my account register for the sale date it shows 1.000 as exchange rate. It is not retrieved correctly. I ran a stock update/currency update but it still shows 1.000. Usually I have to exit quicken and restart it for the value to be updated correctly. Does anyone know why this is? The restarting seems redundant. Why not show it correctly when updated? Or also why the saved report has to be somehow refreshed?
