Reconcile: Transactions won't sort by posting date

I've had this problem for years. In the Reconcile window, the default sort of your list of Payments and Checks is the Transaction Date (the date I entered the transaction). When clicking on the "Posting Date" column, nothing happens but the appearance of a blue arrow showing the sort order (Newest to Oldest/Oldest to Newest) but the sort is still the Transaction Date. In other words, sorting by Posting Date still results in a sort by Transaction date. Any fixes for this issue? I've had it for year.
