Accounts scrambled since installing update

Possibly they were scrambled before, but I did not notice. I discovered entries from one account transplanted to another unrelated account EG, entries from a PNC Savings account owned by my wife began to appear in a Wells Fargo Savings account owned by me. Quicken created a duplicate Comerica savings account which contained transactions from my daughter's account from another bank, while retaining a version with correct data.

Now nothing can be trusted.

How did this happen? How could the new version be so badly screened for errors?

Do you have a Quicken backup you can Restore?

I agree with @Ps56k2 in that restoring a known good backup would be the quickest solution. But it seems like the account(s) were deactivated and reactivated and linked to the wrong account. This is not something the Quicken update routine would do.
