Quicken software update has damaged my files. (edit)

I opened my program and was told I needed to select Quicken Classic or another presentation. After trying to follow the instructions after decades of using Quicken, I now have incomplete recent files back to January of this year. Thus, I no longer trust Quicken as I cannot use the system anymore. If there is a way to correct the file loses, I would like to know how.
Any suggestions?

- I recommend that you restore your Quicken data file from a Manual or Automatic Backup taken prior to the problem first occurring, if necessary going back to older backups until you find a file that does not exhibit these symptoms.
