Recently, my quicken supscription program has become incredibly slow. Taking a long time to load, and a second or two to fill register information from saved transactions.
Is your active Quicken data file stored in a OneDrive folder?
It may have started after I updated from windows 10 to windows eleven.
Again, is your active Quicken data file stored in a OneDrive folder?
No… at least I don't think so! It should all be on my portable drive. That's where it loads from.
I would suggest moving your data file to the C: drive as a test. Make sure it's not it a OneDrive folder. I don't think it's a good idea to store your active data file on a portable drive due to the possiblity of corruption.
OK..It used to be on the C: till I moved to my Laptop. I will try move it back
After all these years I seem to have a lot of QKN files around!!!
Same problem. VERY SLOW TO LOAD and getting slower over the past few versions, now 1-2 minutes! V R53.16 on Win 10 (just updated again to build 27.1.53.16)
No onedrive running…had tried validate/repair before (no impact on speed of loading).
Data file is 190M
Sounds just like my symptoms and conditions!!
Virtually everything is extremely slow with this release; startup, one step update, accepting a transaction, reconciling, … Running Windows 11 on a very fast box. Data file is 210M. Background CPU usage is <6%, memory 41%, disk < 1%. Painful to use.
@rhc999, what is the full path to your Quicken data file?
