What is the best way to add Empower without losing Prudential history?

    Not clear to me what is taking place in your real world. Your question lacks any detail.

    But one possibility may be to disable online connectivity with Prudential, change the designation of the Financial Institution to Empower, and then enable online connectivity to Empower.

    BACKUP FIRST just in case.
