Help resolving discrepancy in investing acct

I'm reconciling my investment accts in Quicken to the brokers' websites. Hoping someone can help me understand how I ended up with the following discrepancy in one of my funds.

Here's the backstory: My broker converted one of my funds from Investor shares to Admiral shares. The day prior to the conversion, I had X number of Investor shares, lets say: 100.123 shares.

On the day of conversion, 100.195 Investor shares were removed from my Quicken acct but only 100.123 Admiral shares were added. On the same day, dividends were reinvested for an additional 3.335 Admiral shares. (All these #s are fabricated and simplified for this example.) My Admiral fund in Quicken matches the broker's info. My Investor fund shows a negative balance of .072 shares.

I called the broker to confirm the balances and transactions on the day prior to the conversion and at close of business on the day of the conversion. Almost everything matches with the numbers in my Quicken register except the # of shares removed from the Investor shares fund. According to their info, only 100.123 shares were removed, not the 100.195 shares that my register recorded.

I've been carrying this discrepancy for almost a year. I am running Quick Premier (currently version R52.33) on a Win10pro PC.

Obviously this is a small discrepancy, which is easily adjusted with a manual, offsetting entry. But I'd like to understand how this occurred and how to avoid it in the future. Any advice or suggestions are welcome.

What is your source for the 100.195 shares removed? Why are you reluctant to correct that to 100.123 if that is what the broker and presumably their website and your associated statements indicate?
