Quicken Investments - summary portfolio (edit)

I sincerely appoligize for my initial post concerning google.

I problem is the Investment leg of Quicken. I can open it to the summary portfolio level (and all the dollars are correct, but that is as deep as it will go. It will not show the detail portfolios.

I called Quicken help and they said they were aware of the problem, but it may take some time to fix it.

go to your Quicken Account - Edit -
look to see if there are two checkboxes avail for
[x] Simple Investment Tracking
[x] Complete Investment Tracking

if so - select COMPLETE -

If this is not related…. then please clarify exactly which menu path and what you are not seeing

I have a problem with Google. I am new to the investing part of Quicken. I entered my securities and ran through the different views of my portfolio. It looked Ok. Today when I opened Quicken and checked my portfolio, it showed 12000 shares of Google (I wish), when In reality I have 1200 shares. I check the page where I entered the securities and values are correct???? I dug around and couldn't find a reason. I then wanted to delete Google and reenter. Quicken wouldn't let me because the security was used in a transaction?? I could find no transaction with this security and it has just been entered for two days. Anyone have an idea??

You cannot delete a security included in a transaction. The transaction(s) involved here are the ones you used when you "entered my securities". What "page" did you enter Google and what did you enter? That is, you should have been using "enter transaction" on the register for the Quicken brokerage account that holds Google. Please post an example of what you entered there, e.g. a buy, add shares, etc.

click on the Security List - find Google - click see what the Detail display shows for the holding, the transaction history and accounts used ..

also - which Google symbol are you using ? Are you consistently using the same 1 of 2 avail ?

I am logging direcdtly into " https://investing.quicken.com/". My portfolios show at the summary level. but when I click on each portfolio, it does not expand to show the indiviual stocks. I have used this for years until it stopped working about 10/17/2023.

I do not track stocks on my main quicken web page account
