@stangoldstein - That's what others are now posting in that thread I referenced. There has been some speculation in that thread that this might be related to transitioning the connection method from DC to EWC+. It kind of make sense because some are now saying that they are connected with EWC+ while others are saying they are able to connect with DC. Most of the financial institutions making this transition will have a period of 1-3 months overlap during which connections can be set up with either method. Anyway, I'm glad to hear that you downloads are now working, again.

Are you getting Error Code OL-295? If so, you might want to read through this thread at the following link (click on the time shown). You will note in it that some are now able to download, again, from E*Trade.:

No I was getting something like " your brokerage has refused the connection "
But if I manually clicked on update while the account was opened in quicken, it would update .
Follow up : I just tried it again and after 2 or 3 days It is now working correctly .
Thanks for your response Boater .

all is good with etrade downloads
agree, for the kick back on passwords from ET last week the connection method may have been the culprit.
My investment accounts are still accessing web thru direct connect. in the online services for the accounts it only recommends changing to EWC if you are having problems.
for the few days, manual downloads worked as well as they did when Elan financical and quicken weren't autoupdating.
lets hope this is it for awhile
