Loan Amortizations (in Q Mac)

I noticed to night that Quick is not amortizing loans properly in the payments that post in the banking account register. Is this a known problem and is anyone else as stunned as I am that Quicken cannot perform this most elementary of financial transactions? Or am I doing something completely wrong. I was on a call with support and didn't really get any progress.
