Report Frustrations (Q Mac)

I am using MacOS Sonoma 14.1.1, Quicken Version 7.3.2 (Build 703.50456.100).

I tried to run a report of expenses for the past year. First, there is no such report template that I could find. I did find a report called "where did I spend my money". That runs down a list of expenses (with some income items thrown in) by payee, not by expense category.

The other frustration I have is that, as with all reports in Quicken, there is no back arrow, "done" tab, or "X" icon to close the report and go back to Quicken. It took a while before I figured out that I could use the Mac close button, which is hidden at the top of my full screen view.

Have I missed an easier way to close a report? And have I missed an expenses report template? Recently, Quicken has been so on top of their game that I'm surprised these features are missing, and I'm thinking I just didn't see them.

Thanks!

If you're not running full screen, reports open in their own window so it's pretty easy to close them.

I use Category Summary reports to total up expenses.
