New install on Windows 11.

I initially imported info from my checking (setup acct as offline). After that, any other account I attempt to create says it already exists, despite no others listed in any of the account dialogs. Suspect problem is did import before creating accounts that the imported data referred to (via transfers, etc).

Uninstalled, deleted folder, rebooted computer, and after fresh install and trying to create accounts without import, I get the SAME ISSUE. How the f is this usable?

Which folder did you delete after uninstall? The one containing your (supposedly messed up) Quicken data file, typically located in C:\Users\your_username_here\Documents\Quicken?

If you didn't delete this folder or the QDF file located in it, after reinstall of the software, Quicken is going to find and reopen the same old (supposedly messed up) data file.

Quickest way out of this situation is to start with a fresh new Quicken data file using a different file name:
Click on File / New Quicken File to create a new data file.

In any currently open data file, the Account Sidebar or the Account List (from the Tools Menu) can be used to show a list of accounts existing in your currently open data file.

Deleting any/all Quicken folders (even hidden), renaming DAT file, uninstall/reinstall, none of it works. Even trolled through INI files, Registry, and anything else that was text editable searching for something I could change. That combined with searching for comments re: banks I use (looks like don't work well w/ Quicken), I'm bailing and sticking w/ MoneyDance. Not as pretty, but it works.
