Show only two decimals for price on reinvestments

I'm using Quicken Deluxe on a Win11 pro box.

When entering re-investments, the system calculates the price based on the dollar amount and number of shares. Often the price can be expressed up to 6 digits past the decimal point. Is there any way to have the system express the price to just two decimal points? Because of the way the system calculates the price, often the results in Quicken deviate from the results on my statements.

Any thoughts on this?

I do understand what you are saying, but at the transaction level, the answer is no. For reports, you can set the displayed precision for shares and prices to be between 0 and 8 digits. (Edit / Preferences / Reports Only) I suppose an investment transaction report (rather than the transaction list) might offer a smoother comparison tool in that regard.

It is immaterial. The two important values are the number off shares (which I always keep to three or four decimal precision) and the dollar amount to the penny. If everything is working right, the value for the date will be shown to the penny rather than as that reinvestment transaction price.

I don't worry about a $1 difference, or even up to $10 due to rounding from the share prices.

I'm staying on Quicken 2013 Premier for Windows.
