Why doesn't the red pencil icon turn blue when transactions are downloaded?

Question

Quicken mac issue - my scheduled transaction for credit card payment only "sees" the credit card side and not the checking side of the (same) transaction.  My red pencil icon turns blue on the credit card side but not on the checking side.  Usually the two will "match" and turn blue.

I recently updated to and am currently using Version 7.4.2 (Build 704.51578.100).

Thank you, Jon. That's the thing. My checking account transactions had downloaded, confirming the checking balance in the upper right corner where it shows "online balance.” Seems glitchy to me.

The pencil icon shouldn't turn blue in the checking account until the checking account download includes the transaction. This might not happen until the check clears, which could be a day or two after the payment is processed on the credit card side. I wouldn't expect them to necessarily turn blue at the same time unless you're downloading transactions infrequently.
