Why does Quicken keep asking for my Quicken password?

I'm starting Quicken every day, multiple times per day. I have 2 different Quicken files, both attached to the same Quicken ID. For some reason, in the last week or so, I'm being asked to enter my Quicken ID password when I update my bank transactions. This is annoying and unnecessary. Quicken knows I'm a subscriber. Ask me once per year to validate my subscription, fine. But every day, or even every month? What's the point?

    Hello @KDL,

If you haven't already, I suggest you try signing out of your data file completely and then signing back in to refresh the registration token for your Online Connected Services. However, I do recommend that you first save a backup file prior to performing these steps.

    1. Navigate to Edit
    2. Preferences...
    3. Quicken ID & Cloud accounts
    4. Click Sign in as a different user (or it might say Sign in using a different Quicken ID)
    5. Follow the prompts to Sign Out
    6. Sign back in using your Quicken ID (email) and password (this screen is not a pop-up box)

Keep in mind that the sign-in pop-up dialog may continuously keep popping back up throughout this process, in which case you will need to continue closing it each time it pops up until you reach the full sign-in screen.

    I hope this helps!

Trying this now, will report back after a couple weeks to see if it stops asking.

@Anja, your suggestion did not fix my problem. Quicken is still prompting for the password. And it's only asking for 1 of the 2 files, curiously enough.

Thank you for following up, though I am sorry to hear that the issue persists.

In that case, we do recommend that you contact Quicken Support directly for further assistance and possible escalation if they see fit.

We apologize for any inconvenience! Thank you.
